The problem we started with
We watched the same failure repeat, project after project. Teams spend months just understanding what the old system does, because the business logic lives in stored procedures, dead code, and the memory of engineers who left years ago. By the time anyone starts building the replacement, half the budget is gone and nobody fully trusts what's being rebuilt. We'd seen it enough times, from the inside, to know the fix had to go deeper than a better consulting process.
